Children in need and crazy hair day

November 15th, 2013

It’s been a very varied week in Early Years. On Tuesday we went out on the mini bus to the Park in Lytham where we had fun on the climbing frame, swings and “train”. We enjoyed the journey too, as we looked out of the bus windows and spotted ducks, sheep and cows in the fields. We sang songs as we drove and we did the actions to ‘Old MacDonald had a farm’. We have a new area in our classroom that looks like a toy shop, and we have been busy with our Seedling friends decorating it with beautiful collages and taking it in turns to be the shopkeeper. We are excited to begin rehearsals for the Nativity play, which this year is called “The Magical Jigsaw”. We will let you have more details nearer the time but the performances will take place on 17th and 18th December. We finished the week looking very silly for Children in Need! Thank you to everyone for creating crazy hair and the donations for this cause.
Over the weekend we would appreciate it if you could talk to your children, or show them examples of some of the toys you used to play with when you were children (in the days before x box!)As next week we are exploring more traditional types of toys.
We hope you have a great weekend, see you next week.
From us all in Early Years.
